Set
amongst age-old olive trees is Villa San Paolo, a wellness resort overlooking
the picturesque hills and thousand year-old towers of San Gimignano.
I
love visiting the Tuscan countryside. It’s a place where I can escape the
stresses of city living and find refuge among vast rolling hills, vineyards and
centuries of tradition. There is a profound serenity that envelops me whenever
I am here and it is that peace that I look forward to during each visit.
Sitting on a hill overlooking a picturesque landscape is the lovely Villa San Paolo Spa Hotel. It is the ideal location to visit neighbouring vineyards Rocca delle Macie, Santa Cristina, Casa alle Vacche and many more; as well as day trips to the charming villages of San Gimignano, Certaldo Alto, Volterra, and the breathtaking cities of Florence and Siena.
You can enjoy bike rides in the countryside, relax poolside, or treat yourself to the property's 1000 square metres of wellbeing at the Irispa Wellness Centre equipped with a big indoor hydro-pool, an outdoor hydro-pool in the olive garden, hammam, Tuscan aromarium, sauna, Turkish bath, Kneipp baths, ice fountain, mists and summer storms. There’s also an onsite gym and an endless list of treatments and massages. I love it, especially intimate conversations relaxing in the outdoor hydro-pool under olive trees and a starlit sky. It’s the perfect way to end an incredible day.
Villa San Paolo is also home to the elegant and relaxed Lampolla Restaurant with a terrace from which to enjoy a beautiful view of the Tuscan countryside. The food is created by the family’s third generation of chefs using local fresh ingredients. Their interpretations of traditional cuisine are delicious and reason alone to visit the property.
So without further ado, let me introduce you to Villa San Paolo through my lens.
Enjoy,
